Fourth Annual Claw Down Chef’s Lobster Bite Competition in Boothbay Harbor
On Thursday, September 17th the Fourth Annual Claw Down will happen in Boothbay Harbor. This annual event is really a showcase of the best of Maine: fresh ingredients (especially the star of the show – Maine lobster); the hard work and dedication of the lobster fishermen; and the best creative approach to crafting the perfect lobster bite.
Guests will have a chance to sample savory offerings from 19 chefs who will present their best bites, simple or complex, sweet or savory, featuring lobster as a key ingredient. Event-goers will also enjoy a selection of beers and wines from Cisco Brewers and Ninety Plus Cellars. After sampling the chefs' best bites, guests will cast their votes for the People’s Choice Award. And new this year, the 19 Claw Down chefs will also have their say as they cast their votes for the Chef’s Choice Award.
Hosted by the Boothbay Region Chamber of Commerce, the event takes place on Thursday, September 17 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Ocean Point Marina Boatyard, in East Boothbay. Cocktail attire is suggested. More information is available here.
