The Yarmouth Clam Festival: A Maine Summertime Tradition Since 1965
This year marks the 50th annual Yarmouth Clam Festival in the charming coastal village of Yarmouth, Maine. A summertime tradition, the festival draws visitors from all over the country who come to enjoy the various activities including live music, an arts exhibit, a crafts show, road races, a parade, and of course, the delicious food.
Approximately 6,000 pounds of clams including steamed clams, clam chowder, clam cakes and fried clams will be offered, and for those who would like more to choose from, there will be 80 other food options as well. Over 3,000 volunteers work hard to make this Yarmouth event a not to be missed experience! Admission to the festival is free, and proceeds from the festival's food sales go towards high school sports, music clubs and other municipal needs.
